Hollywood's Hatred

The following article was first posted to my previous blog on Tuesday, September 16, 2008. The attacks on Christians and conservatives have intensified, and I shall publish a new article soon. This article, however, explains and sets the stage for the upcoming article:

Suzanne Somers commented on Neil Cavuto's show today that Hollywood's hatred for President Bush is unprecedented.

Talk about a "Duh!" comment, as if we, who support the President, did not know this. Of course the majority of Hollywood's citizens and the powers-that-be hate President Bush. Why? George W. Bush does not fit in with the godless, liberal agenda that infiltrates the movie and television industry.

Hollywood, by and large, remains amoral and godless, churning out one filthy film or show after another. The preponderance of sex, violence, and drugs does not align with God's Word. The majority of Hollywood is controlled by evil.

George W. Bush is a Christian, who lives according to God's Word. Of course evil Hollywood hates the President. He threatens them just by his existence. They cannot tolerate his conservative, Christian service to America and to the world.

Hollywood in general disgusts me, but rather than attack them and hate them--the way they treat my beloved President--I pray for them. And I bet they never expected to read that!

Thaddeus McCotter: A Man of Honor

In just a few years, Thaddeus McCotter has built an admirable and honorable political career. First elected to Congress in 2002, McCotter has served as the Chairman of the House Republican Policy Committee since November 2006. During that time, he has never faltered in standing up for what is morally right.

McCotter, though elected by the citizens of Michigan, serves all Americans. Among the causes most important to McCotter are family, reducing taxes, national security (such as continuing the War on Terrorism), reducing government spending, and health care. The latter two should be of particular importance for and to voters as Obama's health care reform battles opposition.

More importantly is McCotter's resolution demanding a formal apology from Obama in the wake of the president's recent demeaning comments about a Massachusetts police officer. Rather than apologizing as a man of honor should, the president has skirted the issue. Despite the claims of some people, America is indeed blessed with Republicans who are not afraid to stand up and fight the system and do the right thing. McCotter is one of the very good guys.

Why Are You Anti-Abortion?

The question which forms the title to this article is one I am often asked. Most people do not use the term pro-life when they ask, but rather leave life out of the equation and emphasize abortion itself. That is their attempt to shield their consciences from the brutal reality of abortion as a life-taking procedure.

Life--all life--is created by God, and He has a plan for every human whom he creates. Abortion downplays, negates, insults, and erases God from the picture. Abortion destroys what God creates and intends. God has a purpose for each human being, regardless of demographics, and abortionists disavow that purpose. In fact, I am going to say it plain: abortionists, those who are pro-abortion or pro-choice, cannot possibly be true Christians who hold God in their hearts. No one who has an intimate relationship with God could murder an innocent person--and that is exactly what an unborn baby is, a human being. Satan has desired to destroy God's creation since he was the rebellious Lucifer who tried to usurp God's divine throne. Satan is still at work under the cloak of abortion and pro-choice rights. A woman's body, they say, is hers to do with as she desires. Not so, says God, who tells us that our bodies are temples through which we honor and serve Him.

Babies are helpless, innocent victims, and the Bible clearly prohibits the killing of the innocent (for example, read Exodus 20:13). Genesis 1:27 makes it clear that we--humans--are created in God's image. One of the most striking passages describes the unborn John the Baptist: he "leapt for joy" in his mother Elizabeth's womb (Luke 1:41, 44). Similarly, Rebekah's twins, Jacob and Esau, are described as "children and sons in womb" (Gen. 25:21-22). Job 3:16 describes babies that die before birth "infants" that never see light; infants--the same word now used to refer to post-birth babies, was used to refer to any "fetus" that died in the womb. Furthermore, Moses, in Numbers 12:12, provides a very clear statement when he refers to a child who dies prior to birth (for example, from stillbirth, injury, or abortion) as "one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother's womb." The woman is a mother, regardless of whether her baby is born healthy, stillborn, or aborted. In the New Testament, another example of this is when Elizabeth calls Mary "the mother of my Lord"--while Mary is pregnant with Jesus (Luke 1:43). Unborn babies--"fetuses"--are most often referred to as "babes" in the Bible; they are not referred to as things (for example, Luke 1:41, 44). Job even describes how God created him before Job was born--from conception, if you will in Job 10:8-12. David echoes this when he proclaims to God that "you knit me together in my mother's womb" (Psalm 139:13-16). The beginning of life is evidently established here as conception.

There are multiple Biblical references to unborn babies as living human beings. But for a secular example, how often have you heard of a woman who is "with child"--a euphemism for pregnant? When did people lose respect for life? When did people decide that they have the right to murder other people without consequences? Abortion, simply put, is murder--a crime against the laws of God and of man.

Unborn babies are works of God, made in His image and for his purpose. The failure to love, to protect, and to honor a life made by God is the worst abomination. Anyone who can willingly end the life of an unborn baby is surely capable of the most heinous of acts.

I remain steadfastly PRO-LIFE because life is precious, life is miraculous, and life is a divine gift. Murder destroys what God has made, and that is unconscionable to me. I must live with myself and the consequences of my actions. And I must ultimately face God on judgment day. How could I do either if I willingly took or condoned the taking of any life? I could not, and I will not.

Foremost, I am a Christian, and I choose to live my life as a child of God. I am far from perfect, but I do my utmost to obey God and to make Him proud. I could not imagine what it would feel like to face God, only to see disappointment, even loathing, on His face because I did what only He can do--end a life. God is the only one who can give life to a human being and the only one who take that life. We should follow God's example, not Satan's.

Mike Pence is one politician who does not live up to the often-heard belief that all politicians are corrupt and in it for themselves. Pence is in it for us, our future generations, and for America. Pence truly cares, and that makes him one of our most valuable treasures.

You may not be able to vote for Mike if you do not live in Florida, but that does not mean that you cannot help him get elected. A small donation can make a huge difference--this is, after all, how Obama raised millions and got elected. I encourage you to do what you can and to support conservative candidates across America. I am a teacher, and we all know the cliche that teachers do not make huge salaries. Still, I give what I can when I can to conservative candidates. One Nation Under God

Non-Christians believe that they can rob us, America's Christians, of our rights. They tell us we cannot worship or celebrate the Lord. They tell us that we are deluded, ignorant, wrong, because we believe in God. We center our lives around God, and they hate us for that. They mock us. They bombard the media with godless garbage in their vain attempts to tempt us and to taunt us. They try to silence us, stop us, and get rid of us. They wish we would quietly fade away.

We must make God the center of everything in America once more. The founding fathers never forsook God or intend a godless nation. George Washington, America’s first President, once proclaimed that “You do well to wish to learn our arts and our ways of life and above all, the religion of Jesus Christ.” Many choose to disregard God. They made that choice freely, just as Christians choose to believe in God.

We cannot let these people shut us up and shut us away. They are, essentially, fighting a losing battle, though they, of course, do not believe this. Evil can never prevail over God. God is our Commander-in-Chief. As His soldiers, we need to fight for Him, ourselves, and America, and stop evil from destroying democracy. We cannot stop now, and we must each do our part. We must not become discouraged in the face of opposition. We must not abandon the fight and resign as God’s soldiers.
